The Broad River Review is proud to announce the winners of the Rash Awards in Fiction and Poetry for 2015.

 

Sam Grieve of Darien, Connecticut, won the Rash Award for Fiction for her story “We Are All Nobody.”

Patricia L. Hamilton of Jackson, Tennessee, won the Rash Award for Poetry for her poem “Trespass.”

Both winners receive $500 and publication in the 2016 volume of the Broad River Review.

Heather Bell Adams of Raleigh, North Carolina, and John Brantingham of Claremont, California, received Honorable Mentions in Fiction.

Ashley Memory of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Melissa Madenski of Neskowin, Oregon, received Honorable Mentions in Poetry.

Aaron Gwyn of Charlotte, North Carolina, and David Kirby of Tallahassee, Florida, served as judges for the fiction and poetry contests, respectively.

The next entry period for The Rash Awards will begin on August 15, 2016, and conclude on November 15, 2016. An announcement of judges and full contest rules will be available in the summer at broadriverreview.org.
