C.V. Davis is a native of High Point, North Carolina. He graduated from High Point University and Florida State University, where he was a Kingsbury Fellow and earned a Ph.D. in Creative Writing in 2001. His writing has appeared in Glimmer Train Stories, Hayden’s Ferry Review, North Carolina Literary Review, Evansville Review, Roanoke Review, Coal City Review, Crucible, GSU Review (now New South), the Raleigh News & Observer, and the Shelby Star, among other publications. Davis is currently a member of the writing faculty at Gardner-Webb University, where he teaches various writing courses, edits the Broad River Review, and serves as the Faculty Athletics Representative. He lives in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, with his wife, daughter, and son.
