The Broad River Review is pleased to announce the winners of the Rash Awards for 2014.

We thank all who entered the contests, and we especially thank the judges.  North Carolina writer Daniel Wallace judged the Rash Award in Fiction.  David Bottoms, former Georgia Poet Laureate, judged the Rash Award in Poetry.

The Rash Award in Poetry is awarded to Sharon Charde of Lakeville, Connecticut, for her poem “Fiftieth Anniversary.”

The Rash Award in Fiction is awarded to Adam Padgett of Charlotte, North Carolina, for his story “Useful Things.”
